The
Buffalo Niagara Film Festival looks to provide
opportunities to the film industry and to
the filmmaker, to present and discuss film
as an artistic medium, provide the opportunity
for audiences to view films not otherwise
released commercially, create an awareness
of the finer points of filmmaking through
seminars and workshops by the international
community, and showcase new and emerging
talent.
The BNFF was launched in 2007 and is an
annual film event, held during the month
of March, and screened over 100 films from
over 7 countries. Besides screening award-winning
and critically acclaimed films, the festival
also features workshops, seminars, and exhibitions
on filmmaking for film students and the film
industry. The festival seeks to expand its
audience and submissions to include industry
affiliates and international recognition.
