on or
about November 15th, 2007. Please check the

Entries must have been completed on or before
October 31, 2007
Features must be between 46 and 150 minutes
in length.
Shorts must be no longer than 45 minutes
in length.
Films may have been previously screened at
other festivals, although BNFF "premier"
status is preferred but not mandatory.
Any film that has had a theatrical release,
other than a limited Premier or special showing,
or is currently in distribution (e.g,. has
been licensed for distribution in some Territory)
is not eligible for the competition. If there
is a question regarding eligibility, please
contact Submissions@BuffaloNiagaraFilmFestival.com.
The Festival Organizers reserve the right
to hold Special Screenings of
previously released/distributed films, however
they will not be considered for juried competition
or festival prizes.
The Festival Organizers will require that
all submitters sign an agreement stating that
the submitter possesses all necessary rights
and clearances associated with the submitted
material. The filmmaker assumes all liability
and responsibility, thereby legally protecting
the Festival.
The Best Student Film category
is open to students only. The submitted film
must have been created while the films
director was enrolled at an accredited school,
college, or university.
- High School students must include a copy
of their Student ID or other certified form
verifying student status and proof of enrollment.
- College / University (undergraduate or
graduate) students must be/have been registered
for at least 8 hours of approved coursework,
and must include a copy of their Student
ID, along with copy of student status and
proof of enrollment.
If, at the time of submission, the director
has graduated or left school, proof of enrollment
when the film was created, must be submitted.
The Best Western New York Film
category is open to any film that was created
while the director(s) were residents of Western
New York. Proof of residency, such as a copy
of a drivers license or other proof
of residency, must be included with the submission
The Best Native American Film
category is open to any film that was created
by a director(s) that is a member of a recognized
American Indian or Alaska Native Tribe as
recognized by the National Congress of American
Indians. Proof of tribal affiliation must
be included with the submission.
The Best Director category
is open to any filmmaker submitting a film
in any category/genre.
