Buffalo author and filmmaker
Greg Lamberson directed his first feature
when he was 21 years old: Slime City had
a successful run as a midnight movie in New
York City in 1988. The film was sold to ten
countries around the world and was released
on VHS twice in the United States. When Shock-O-Rama
Cinema released the film on DVD in 2005,
it immediately developed a cult following.
This year, to celebrate Slime’s 20th
anniversary, Lamberson has produced a soundtrack
CD and has been screening the film at horror
conventions and film festivals with the film’s
stars. Rue Morgue magazine’s Gore-Met
calls Slime City, “A splatter classic
as important as Street Trash or The Toxic
Avenger!” For reviews and more information,
