 'Cards, Letters
and Prayers' is a documentary film about
Ron Ring, a 61 year old political activist
living in Rochester NY. What makes Ron unique
is that despite his illness and poverty,
he continues to lobby local government for
affordable healthcare and housing for the
homeless, in addition to his tenants of peace,
justice and dialog. This film explores Ron's
dreams and aspirations, how those dreams
were broken, how his illness has affected
his life, and finally how he overcomes these
obstacles by making a lasting difference
in his community.
To the Rochesterians who know him, this documentary will provide new insight
into Ron's life. To Americans who don't know him, Ron will be an inspiration
to young people making major life choices.
